The Biological Sciences program (BSC), in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), is responsible for offering an array of large enrollment courses in biology, working in conjunction with the Departments of Botany and Zoology.
The BSC program offers courses for science majors, BSC 2010 and BSC 2011
(Integrated Principles of Biology I and II) with the accompanying laboratories, BSC 2010L and BSC 2011L,
and courses for non-major courses BSC 2007 (Cells, Organisms, and Genetics), BSC 2008 (Evolution, Ecology,
and Behavior), and BSC 2009L (Laboratory in Biological Sciences). These courses are typically taught by faculty and graduate students in Zoology and Botany and cover all major biological subdisciplines. Occasionally sections with a more specialized subject focus are offered.
